Kim Wells
  • Mr. Wells graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan in 1983 where he earned a B.S. degree in Business/Marketing. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree at Stetson University College of Law in 1986.

  
Experience
  • Mr. Wells has practiced in the Central Florida/Tampa Bay area for many years, concentrating in the areas of insurance and casualty defense as well as representation of plaintiffs in first party property, bodily injury, bad faith claims and general civil litigation matters. Mr. Wells is an experienced litigator, having tried numerous insurance coverage and bad faith cases, as well as bodily injury matters.
  • Immediately prior to joining Pilka & Associates, Mr. Wells worked with the Merlin Law Group as a Senior Associate, specializing in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. He was also a Senior Associate at the law firm of Butler Pappas, where he worked in the insurance defense field for over six years, litigating cases in the areas of bad faith, insurance coverage, nursing home and liability defense. Prior to working with these firms, Mr. Wells managed his own law practices, concentrating in personal injury and insurance litigation. He previously worked with Pilka & Associates when it was known as Sawyer & Pilka, from 1988-1989, at which time he worked in the areas of insurance defense and commercial litigation.
  
Military Experience
  • Mr. Wells served on active duty in the U.S. Navy from 1977 to1981 at which time, he was honorably discharged.
