Outstanding is just one of the superlatives that describes Grace Christian School's Drama Department. The Students perform on stage from Kindergarten through High School. Where stars are born and great wholesome family entertainment is stressed. Each year the high school students do a Christmas musical and a spring musical. This past year they did "Christmas at Home" a Civil War Saga, and in the spring they did "Sleeping Beauty". The elementary 3rd - 5th grade does the Christmas program, 1st and 2nd graders do the spring program, and the kindergarteners perform at their graduation.
The performances are state-of-the-art with lights, sound, costumes, and sets. In the past, the drama class has done "Sound of Music", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Tom Sawyer",
"Cinderella", "Beauty and the Beast" , and more. This Christmas they will be doing "One Bethlehem Night" and in the spring they will do Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Oklahoma", celebrating Oklahoma's 100th Anniversary. Come opening night, the staff goes into action. Our productions are the closest thing to Broadway there is anywhere.
The students learn great communication skills, how to improvise, act, sing, and do choreography. They learn that practice makes perfect. Most of all, they would like to thank the LORD for the talent that He has given them. Even in Drama, they can glorify the LORD!
